Risk Management rules:
Supertrade enforces the following key rules for Trading during the Challenge or on Live Accounts:
- Max Daily Drawdown:
Current equity at any moment of the day cannot drop below a certain point from your day's entry equity. Day’s entry equity is the sum of initial balance and all profits & losses from open & closed positions at the start of trading day.
DayEntryEquity = InitialBalance + results of open positions[00:00:00 UTC] + results of closed positions
DailyLossLevel & DayEntryEquity reset daily at [00:00:00 UTC].
For live accounts for daily loss after payouts/revenue share/excessive profit, we calculate new day entry equity and use it further in formulas.
DayEntryEquity(after txn) = DayEntryEquity(before txn) - payout amount - revenue share amount - excessive profit.
The moment of fixing new day entry equity is right after changing balance on a trading platform due to payout/revenue share/excessive txn.
-
Max Overall Drawdown:
Account’s equity at any point in time cannot drop below a certain level of initial account balance. For example, on Instant Funding account with initial balance of 25,000 your Max Overall Drawdown level is set at 22,250 and if your equity at any moment of trading drops below 22,250 – account will be disabled and challenge will be lost. - Consistent Trading: No excessive lot sizing or erratic risk-taking.
What happens if I hit the drawdown limit?
If a trader exceeds the 10% overall drawdown limit, their funded account is closed. They would need to restart the challenge or opt for Instant Funding again.
